This file is set to print on legal size paper (8.5 x 14 inch) in landscape mode. You then cut it in half and end up with two 8.5 x 7 inch sheets of paper, which is a nice size (not overwhelming to a child) OR you can print it on letter size paper (8.5 x 11 inch) - just choose "Actual Size" in printer settings and select to print on letter size paper.
