Herbivores, Carnivores & Omnivores Sorting - Cut & Paste

Studying animals builds a deep respect for nature, develops empathy and responsibility, and promotes scientific curiosity and exploration.

Learning about carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores is an essential component of a Montessori zoology curriculum. It helps children understand how animals obtain food and how they adapt to their environments. This knowledge reinforces their understanding of food chain patterns and animal adaptations

This is a cut-and-paste activity. Cut out the animals. Identify and classify the animals as herbivores, carnivores, or omnivores. Verify the classification using the control chart. Glue the animals onto the blank chart.

This set includes:

  • 21 pictures of animals
  • 1 blank chart
  • 1 control chart

The cut-out pictures come in two versions: one set is organized in a classified order, while the other is in random order for a greater challenge. Additionally, there are two variants: one set is labeled, and the other is not.

The control chart is approx. 8½" x 11".
